Belong
Stay connected to people who share a common heritage and community.
Become a Member
Membership is a pathway to connect with fellow Liberians, take part in community activities, contribute to OLICON’s mission, and help strengthen bonds of community across Nigeria.
Why become a member?
Becoming a member is about belonging to a wider community — not merely completing a form.
Stay connected to people who share a common heritage and community.
Build relationships through chapters, gatherings, activities, and events.
Take part in the organization’s community life closer to home and nationally.
Use your time, ideas, skills, and experience to help strengthen the community.

A person ready to belong and participate.
Local community connection closer to home.
Eastern, Western, Northern, or South-South.

Why community membership matters
OLICON’s story is one of unity, fellowship, service, mutual support, participation, and cultural identity. People come together to strengthen relationships, exchange ideas, build bridges, collaborate, and make new friends — membership is how that circle grows.

Built around community
The Organization of Liberian Communities in Nigeria (OLICON) promotes unity, solidarity, and cohesion among Liberians living within Nigeria. Its structure extends through recognized regions and state chapters — giving people a place to belong nationally and locally.
You, participating in community life.
Local leadership and gathering closer to home.
Regional coordinators supporting chapter life.
Shared fellowship across Nigeria.
Four regions
OLICON’s jurisdiction covers the Federal Republic of Nigeria through four recognized regions. Chapter details continue to be updated as the organization publishes them.
What membership means
Members contribute through participation, relationships, ideas, service, and support. Leadership messages from the 2026 convention emphasize that every member should feel valued, seen, and included — and that diversity is our strength, while unity is our power.
Belonging
The 2026 convention theme — Restoring Unity, Redefining Purpose and Embracing All — expressed a call toward inclusion. Membership messaging on this page draws from that spirit of belonging without presenting the theme as a permanent membership slogan.
Community story
High Chief Mrs. Tina Waripamoere Keme
Former Chairwoman, Rivers State
She describes embracing the Liberian community after arriving in Nigeria, participating in gatherings and activities, serving in chapter leadership, and supporting fellow Liberians during difficult times — an example of active community participation, not a mandatory membership script.
“Coming from my home country into a new environment, it was a wonderful feeling to meet people who shared the same heritage, culture, and experiences.”
