Objectives
What OLICON is established to do
The objectives of the Organization, as set out in Chapter 3 of the Adopted Constitution of OLICON.
- To bring together all Liberians residing in Nigeria.
- To foster unity, solidarity, and cooperation among its members.
- To coordinate and intensify cooperation and efforts towards the personal development and leadership of its members.
- To reduce illiteracy and build capacity amongst her members.
- To advance equality in the general welfare of her members.
- To inculcate into our members the spirit of tolerance, good morals, hard work, self esteem, actualization, innovation and creativity.
- To serve as a vehicle wherein Liberians in Nigeria can be mobilized to make meaningful contribution towards the development of our motherland.
- To promote bilateral cooperation with Liberian communities and/or associations in other countries and formulate and maintain cultural, social, political and economic development of her members, provided it does not contradict this constitution.

Our role in Nigeria
Heritage held. Contribution made.
Liberians living in Nigeria work, build businesses, raise families, and contribute to the country’s development and cultural life — while keeping Liberian heritage alive and promoting peaceful coexistence with host communities.
Contribution

Our emblem & symbolism
A symbol of love, friendship, and unity
The emblem of the organization shall be the flags of Liberia and Nigeria in a heart, with a handshake. Liberia’s flag with red, white and blue on the left side of the heart while Nigeria’s flag with green and white on the right side of the heart and the handshake lies beneath the flags and within the heart. The heart signifies love; the both countries’ flags embossed in a heart signify two distinct countries fostering friendship, peace and unity. The red, blue, white and green colors are significant and official colors of both countries and flags. The handshake represents unity amongst Liberians residing within the borders of Nigeria.

The official colours of the organization shall be red, white, blue and green. The white and blue symbolise unity, peace and solidarity; the green represents our existence in Nigeria as a community; while the red represents our determination and sacrifice we stand ready to make for the progress of our community.
