OLICON brings Liberian communities across Nigeria together in unity, solidarity, and mutual support — sustaining fellowship far from home while contributing to the places we live.
Proudly Liberians!
Who we are
From earlier community associations to a national organization, OLICON exists to keep Liberians connected — strengthening bonds of fellowship, supporting one another, and preserving a shared sense of belonging in our country of sojourn.
OLICON was formally established in 2016, building on earlier Liberian community associations across Nigeria.
Our purpose
OLICON’s mission is clear: to promote the unity, solidarity, and cohesion of Liberians living within Nigeria’s borders. That purpose guides our gatherings, chapters, and shared work nationwide.
“To promote the unity, solidarity and cohesion of Liberians living within the borders of Nigeria.”
What we do
OLICON’s work stretches across fellowship, professional growth, and education — dimensions of community life that strengthen Liberians across Nigeria.
We nurture fellowship across state chapters and regions — creating spaces where Liberians meet, support one another, resolve challenges together, and keep the bond of community alive.
Learn MoreThrough educative talks, digital literacy sessions, national reports, and fellowship at convention, OLICON creates room for learning, leadership, and shared progress among members.
Learn MoreFrom children’s quizzing and historical learning to educative talks that strengthen understanding, education remains a living part of how OLICON invests in the next generation.
Learn MoreCommunity & impact
OLICON’s difference is felt in relationships kept, heritage carried forward, and people supported across Nigeria’s Liberian communities.
OLICON’s jurisdiction covers the Federal Republic of Nigeria through four recognized regions: Eastern, Western, Northern, and South-South — with state chapters working locally across the country.
OLICON keeps Liberians connected across Nigeria, sustaining the bond of fellowship in a land away from home.
Members and leaders stand with one another through hardship, conflict resolution, and everyday care within the community.
Music, dance, drama, county exhibitions, language, and storytelling keep Liberian heritage alive within Nigerian host communities.
Through national officers, regional coordinators, and state chapters, members serve with dedication across Nigeria’s four regions.
